Kids Coding Online brings live, teacher-led Scratch programming classes to kids and teens across Canada, all from the comfort of home. Through 1-on-1 online lessons, Kids Coding Online turns screen time into skill-building time, guiding beginner coders in grades 1-8 (ages 6-14) from their very first sprite to confident, creative projects.
What Kids Coding Online Offers
Each live Scratch class at Kids Coding Online is taught by a real coding teacher over video, giving kids the personalized attention and real-time feedback that pre-recorded courses can’t match. The curriculum spans 6 structured modules and 36 lessons, moving from Scratch fundamentals through intermediate and advanced game design, animation, and beginner-friendly AI concepts.
Along the way, students build more than 50 hands-on projects, including games, animated stories, quizzes, and apps, and earn a certificate of completion. Lessons include lifetime access to materials, progress reports for parents, and flexible scheduling that fits around school and family life.
Who It’s For
Kids Coding Online is designed for beginners: no prior coding experience or typing skills required. Families across Canada, the US, and the UK have joined the program, with 500+ students already building their first games and animations through Scratch, the free block-based coding language created by MIT.
